The other night we were in a hotel room, working. I casually scanned Twitter as I often do. There it was, the story of the year (I hope), and I turned on the TV to watch CNN. There a commentator remarked that this event seemed to be Twitter's moment, as the Gulf War was CNN's- the time when everyone "got it", how valuable the media has become.
Then I got a tweet from my son, who was on the road in a different part of the country, reading about the same thing, on Twitter. Cool.
What may make this kind of observation invalid however, is that unlike CNN, Twitter can't figure out how to make money. How will it stay in business?
