iPhone App for B&B Travel

Traveling B&B style enhances the experience. We usually feel more " connected" to the community we visit, sometime making lifelong acquaintances. As well, some of the rooms and houses have been remarkable, some better not remarked upon, but all fun.

In France we travel exclusively in B&Bs, the Chambre d'Hote system. Looking to the US, we always wished for such a system, but never wanted the government to run it a'la France. Into the vacuum step private enterprise with an iPhone app, Airbnb.


The app is well designed to browse by destination, and lists over30,00 properties worldwide. Listing a property is easy, encouraging the data base to grow. And thus increasing it's viability. Also, smartly, sharing is built in so you can collaborate to find the right place for a get together.

The map view is a good way to browse areas or zero in on just the right spot in a metro area.



This handy app should be on the phone of every Hobo style traveler who wants to experience their visit beyond restaurants and clubs.
