Universal Phone Chargers Coming to Europe in 2011; Travel infinitely improved

At last we can lighten our packs and carry one charging cable. Or if we live on the edge, none, knowing someone else will be there to take care of us. It is Socialization of charging.  See how a proper ExecHobo manages all this, and a gratuitous swipe at Europe, after the jump...

Back in the day, I bought a universal charging kit to address this issue.  It was a colossal piece of shit.  It had these little ends you attached to the cable, and then broke if you removed them.  It had a brick the size of an HP 100LX, and you had to find/buy a new tip whenever you got a new device.  No wonder Europe made a feeble effort to control all this chaos.  Too bad they managed to fix it about 9 years later.

Travel Power & Sync Kit
Any decent Hobo is already there, taking advantage of the environment of market forces that are driving most connectible electronics to the mini or micro USB standard. Of course, these forces include miniaturization a d a need to connect to the defacto computer USB standard, also dictated by market forces.

Here's how I travel:

Two of the three cables are less than a foot long, and the wall plug is of course, the iPhone's. Now, like a proper Hobo, I'm ready for most situations- charging from the wall or the laptop, and syncing. Flexibility and efficiency in travel kit is a hallmark of the ExecHobo

For international travel just add/sub the appropriate plug end. BOOM!  Et voila!
