BlogPress

Since I have been using BlogPress (as soon as I acquired the iPhone), I have sung it's praises as one of my most important apps.  I use it every day, and most of my posts are created and managed from it.  Powerful and portable, just right for the ExecHobo "lifestyle".

But...

Since I have been blogging in two blogs, ExecHobo.blogspot.com and this blog, focused on travel with tech, I have had problems.

Twice now, lengthy and well crafted posts have been posted from BlogPress, only to have them disappear!  Very disturbing!  The result is that I am now looking for other solutions.  Perhaps working from an iPad within Blogger is a solution.  But offline?  The set of solutions is thin, very thin.  If you want to avoid HTML coding, and knowing about something called Javascript, and Firefox as a third browser, and all that crap, it looks like it is still one of three options for you:
1) Compose in word, or Evernote, or a text editor and finalize photos and posts when online
2) Email posts, content with little control of formatting- a decent solution for short ones
3) Figure out how to avoid BlogPress' areas of instability, and save (or compose), any lengthy treatise in a text editor then paste to BlogPress for posting.  Backup plans.

While doing this research I rean into a Jonathan Norman's review of BlogPress other than my own, which is worthy of passing on.  And one caveat- I am not going to spend $25 for an offline Blogging app, Blogo.
